The Sand Collectors
— De ZandScheppers
De ZandScheppers is made from the repurposed glass from our ZandGlas series. In this stained glass window the sands of Zandmotor, Savelsbos, Brabantse Duinen, Maasvlakte, Terschelling, Knokke, Vlieland, Bergen Op Zoom and Leiden come together to form an artwork that speaks of the land and our connection to it. This stained glass portrait of Atelier NL stems from an image made by photographer Paul Scala.
We often try to amplify the stories natural resources tell about a place with our work.
The more that the public understands the sources and stories behind the objects that surround them every day, the more likely they are to value them as the products of unique and irreplaceable natural resources.
